Day 15 - Revving

Every sunday I go to my 40 days workshop for 2 hours to check in with the group and set our intentions for next week. Week 3, as our teacher put it, is when it hits the fan. Our commitment is tested, sugar is officially eliminated, and we are supposed to stay with our craving instead of caving to it.

The meditation is now up to 15 minutes at each end of the day. At this point I feel that I should really work on setting the stage, finding a comfortable seat, and replacing my obnoxious timer with a gentle gong. I have not been very good at committing to the meditation so that will be my main goal for the week.

As far as the yoga I am going to step it up a notch and go to a Vinyasa class every night. One of my favorite teachers, Lauren Slater, is subbing for a few classes so I am looking forward to practicing more with her.

This past week I was still religious about my yoga, but I confess to being a little wishy-washy about everything else. I'm being non-judgmental about it and moving on. I can’t even believe I still have 4 weeks to go, plenty of time to smooth out the edges.
